Extract:
“In the course of the program, participants will bring to life a new entrepreneural venture besides learning the know-hows of the business world. RealAcad’s vision is to be the place where the best become so much better. On a micro-level, its goal is to get participants to fully develop themselves and to be the highest possible version of them. On a macro-level, the program tries to enhance the entrepreneurship potential in both developing and developed countries.”

JCI entry

February12

Last Thursday (5th of February) I attended the first GA of JCI Bucharest, for this year.

It was interesting…then I had the chance to make a presentation of the “Junior Managers” (Tineri Manageri) Project, which will take place this May and which I will coordinate as its Project Manager; this way I’ve submitted my intention to become a JCI member as well, and I am happy to tell you that it’s happening…

I’m in the process of getting in..:)

I must admit that before October 2008 I never even heard about JCI; my first contact with them came through Tudor, a friend of mine who I’ve helped organize the first edition of “Young Antrepreneurs” (Tineri Antreprenori). That was a great projects and I trully enjoyed working on it through which I met some impressive people  and made good friends :) . The rest is as you say: NETWORKING..

Meanwhile, getting back to JCI, you may wonder about it or simply Google it…:D…yeah..sure, that is more practical..I would still tell you, shortly that JCI International is one of the most world-spread NGOs (present in more then 110 countries), with fine and valuable people of which you feel a certain pride belonging to.

I promise that as things go on, I will keep you posted on JCI and my status as a fresh Member…

the economic crisis for students :)

January27

Hey, what’s up?…

Let me tell you something about me:

Happily I have a job I like; it’s fun and interesting, starting from the staff members up to anything else you might think of..

What am I doing? I work with students and young people, as I help them go to the USA..I’m sure that by now  Work and Travel crossed your mind, and you are right to do so; we, the American Experience team, can help you do that and so much more :) ..

Lately, all the students (and not only) we met had one GOOD question:

What about the economic crisis, is it still worth going with Work and Travel? And the answer is YES, more then ever! why? this is why: an article from AE (Romanian) blog:

LE

Iti iei un job in state in vacanta de vara. Iti poate parea paradoxal, insa  gasesti joburi foarte bune in State prin programul Work and Travel.

Va fi un punct important in cv-ul tau si vei sti mai bine cum sa-ti gasesti jobul potrivit sau sa incepi un business odata intors in Romania.

2. Work and Travel in perioada de criza

The main idea is that the employer has much more benefits (he is not paying certain employee taxes) for hiring students during the summer, so you have all the right chances of having a good job; plus, you must keep in mind that the USD value has increased on the Romanian market so now, all those $ you will bring from USA will be worth so much more…

Nevertheless, the main reason for which I do advise you to go with the Work and Travel Programme, and why I am going this summer as well (my second summer), is to have fun and enjoy that full American Experience..

See ya soon,

Eereena
